We finished watching The Long Way Round last night. It’s a documentary following actors Ewan MacGregor and Charley Boorman as they travel by motorcycle from London through Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Siberia, Alaska, Canada through the states to New York. I’m not all that into motorcycles, but it didn’t matter, the trip is amazing. They met many people throughout the world that helped them out even though many of them had no idea who they were. It’s a pretty amazing show and I highly recommend it.
Here are some photos from their website including this one from their stop in Naperville, Illinois to visit the mother of their camerman, James Simak.
We rented the DVD’s from Netflix but the website says the show was on in the U.S. on Bravo a couple of years ago. I also just found out that it’s currently being shown on the Fox Reality channel.
The Long Way Round website says they are planning a new trip from Scotland to South Africa. That should be a good one too. Can’t wait.
I’m a Slacker…Maybe not…?
Ugh, I haven’t posted in a long time. I blame it on iStock, man that’s addictive. I have been spending a lot of time making illustrations for iStock, then checking to see if they have sold. I’m past the 100 download mark. Yipee! Thank you everyone who has made a purchase. 🙂

Amazing Animal Photos on iStock
iStock allows you to create lightboxes of any images found on their site. You can make the lightbox viewable to the public if you have 20 or more images in it. I kept finding all these great animal images. (I have loved animal photos ever since I worked for the zoo.) Since I kept finding these great images, I decided to make a lightbox of them. It’s almost like I’m the curator of a gallery show. How fun.
